ALL shooters must maintain safety practices at all times while at the range. Should other shooters utilize the range while you are there, you must establish overall communication between each person (or groups) to control range conditions for advancing off the line of fire. NO ONE IS TO MOVE OR ADVANCE AHEAD OF THE FIRING LINE UNLESS ALL WEAPONS ARE UNLOADED, MAGAZINES ARE REMOVED, BOLTS ARE LOCKED OPEN AND SIGNAL IS GIVEN TO DO SO.
NO alcoholic beverages or drugs are allowed on premises. Eye and ear protection are required of shooters AND guests/spectators.
Children MUST be supervised at all times and MUST wear BOTH EYE and EAR protection at all times.
NO shooting of buildings, signs, trash barrels, props or any other club property, except items provided downrange specifically for
attaching targets.
NO FULL METAL JACKET BULLETS TO BE USED ON STEEL TARGETS, CONCRETE, GLASS OR BREAKABLE OBJECTS. ABSOLUTELY NO SHOOTING OF ANY TARGET OR OTHER ITEM PLACED ON THE GROUND! ALL TARGETS MUST BE PLACED 36” OFF THE GROUND OR WITHIN 10’ OF A BERM. Berms are the vertical dirt backstops. ALL ROUNDS MUST IMPACT DIRECTLY INTO THE BERMS!
ALL WEAPONS must remain unloaded with bolts open and magazines removed until on an active firing line with range hot.
Aerial targets may only be shot with shotguns on a range provided for that purpose.
ALL shots must impact and be contained within the berms. Neighboring homes, livestock and canoers will be at risk if rounds are fired over the berms. ALL SHOTS MUST
IMPACT DIRECTLY INTO A BERM!
Gate combination is only given to paid members. Any member, who gives out the combination without permission, will be responsible for paying the membership fee for that person and may be denied future membership in the club.
It is the responsibility of each shooter to CLEAN UP their targets, stands, brass, hulls, etc. Leave the range in better shape than you found it! If you are noticed leaving trash, you will be reported and may be fined or banned from the club.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP THE RANGE SAFE FOR EVERYONE! IMPROPER USE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
RANGE OFFICIALS HAVE THE FINAL SAY. OBEY ALL SAFETY RULES. PLACE TARGETS PROPERLY.
Cold Line Instructions
WHEN ANY SHOOTER REQUEST A COLD FIRING LINE ALL OTHER SHOOTERS MUST AGREE / COMPLY.
IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH A PROPER COLD LINE THE FOLLOWING MUST OCCUR.
ALL FIREARMS MUST BE SAFE. ( THIS MEANS ACTIONS OPENED, EMPTY CHAMBER(S ), MAGAZINES REMOVED ). PLEASE KEEP YOU MUZZLES POINTED DOWNRANGE AND FINGERS OFF THE TRIGGERS WHEN OPENING ANY ACTION(S).
WHEN ALL FIREARMS ARE SAFE, THEN SHOOTERS MAY PROCEED DOWNRANGE.
EYE AND EAR PROTECTION MAY BE REMOVED ONLY DURING A COLD LINE.
THE SHORT PISTOL LINE ON THE 100 YARD RIFLE LINE ( TOGETHER ) ARE ONE FIRING LINE. NOBODY SHOOTS ON THE PISTOL LINE WHEN ANY SHOOTER IS DOWNRANGE ON THE 100 YARD LINE. ALL SHOOTERS ARE TO REMAIN BEHIND THE LINE OF FIRE DURING A COLD LINE,,,NO EXCEPTIONS!!
WHEN ALL SHOOTERS ARE BACK FROM DOWNRANGE AND EACH PERSON ( SHOOTERS AND OBSERVERS ) HAS EYE & EAR PROTECTION ON, FIRING MAY COMMENCE ( HOT LINE ).
